On October 28, 2011 a research documentary was successfully launched by the Nunavut Education Initiatives Team. The film, “Going Places: Preparing Inuit High School Students for a Changing Wider World”, was shown to an audience of community members and District Education Authority members who represented communities across Nunavut. The producer of the film, Mark Sandiford, was also in Nunavut for the launch. The film was well received.
After the film launch Kerri Wheatley, the Project Manager of Inuit Education in Nunavut, travelled to the community of Pangnirtung. During this visit she followed up with the community members involved in a previous research project funded by ArcticNet. The trip also offered the opportunity for Kerri to meet many new people as well in preparation, for future research projects.
