The degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Educational Studies is a new research degree situated within traditional educational and community-based educational contexts extending from early childhood through mature adulthood. It is the first doctoral program to be offered at UPEI outside the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.

Conduct original research and examine theories and perspectives while working with active researchers and scholars who are committed to critical reflection, equity and diversity, innovation and life-long learning in a variety of local and global contexts.

Develop the competence and expertise needed to assume positions of leadership in many educational contexts.
