focuses on understanding adult education learning theories and philosophies; becoming aware of the diverse needs of adult learners; and learning and applying the methodologies and strategies needed to teach adults.
The Inclusive Education Certificate Program was developed to introduce teachers to differentiation of curriculum and a variety of teaching methods for learners with exceptional needs. Teachers will understand the components and the implementation of an individualized educational program. Teachers explore inclusive teaming and classroom consultation as methods to promote inclusive education. Leadership traits required to facilitate the development of an inclusive school are also explored.
